Fine Jewelry Rings
Some of the most interesting antiques are the engagement ring. Up until the 1930’s diamonds were not the center attraction to the engagement ring. In fact up until the 1870’s diamonds were fairly rare. As a result the focal of most antique engagement ring are either pearl, ruby, emerald, or sapphire.
Another form of engagement ring was the Acrostic Ring. These were a multi stone ring which used the first letter of each gem to spell a word. A ring with a diamond, emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire, and topaz was given to signify the word “Dearest”.
